NEW RECORD RELEASED!! Summer 2009 News June/July

The new SHB record “Something’s Wrong/Lost Forever” has been released!! Almost 3 years since the last full release, “Graveyard Shift”, and 2 years in the studio, the new record “Something’s Wrong/Lost Forever” is finally available in your local records stores and at www.scottbiram.com. It has been released on CD, Vinyl LP, and digital download. You can hear a couple samples on both www.scottbiram.com and www.myspace.com/scotthbiram.

If you haven’t heard from Scott H. Biram or you’re wondering why he canceled his April tour of USA and Canada… I slipped and fell in the rain at a gas station in South France after 6 weeks on the road and 10 countries. They had to put a rod in my lower left leg. Now combined with my 2003 wreck, I have rods through the center of my bones in both legs, plates in my left knee and right arm and approxiamtely 20 screws throughout. I’ve been trying to heal up for the last 2 months. I didn’t hesitate, however, to start booking a make-up tour as soon as I got a chance. I leave for the Western USA in a couple days and start the tour off in Colorado on Friday. I’ll be in the Midwest and North East USA and Canada in July/August, as well as quite a few Texas and Louisiana dates in between or shortly after. I hope to see you all out at some shows!!

March/April dates postponed due to broken leg...

Hey everybody,
So I just got back from Europe. Last day of a 6 week tour of Europe I slipped at a gas station in South France and broke my leg. I have a compund fracture. I unfortunately have to cancel all of my March and April 2009 dates except during SXSW Festival in which I will only be playing an “unplugged” set. Sorry about this. My western USA tour in May/June is stll on however. We are already working on re-scheduling the March/April dates. Most likely the same routing as before so see you then..Again, I apologize for having to cancel, but I need to let this ol’ stompin’ leg heal.
Thanks,
SHB

I broke my fucking leg again!! (In Europe this time)

March 4th 2009:
6 weeks, 10 countries…..the last fucking show of a European tour of
England, Ireland, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia and Italy.
We pulled into a gas station in South France on our way to Orleans from
Montpellier. It was raining. We pulled into a station just outside of a little town called Milau I think. I stepped out and started grabbing trash out of the back to clean the van up a bit. I dropped a trash bag and tried to grab it before the wind rushed it away. I tried to step on it with my left foot and slipped. I kinda laughed and said “whoa!” and stepped down with my right onto the gas pump island. The floor was tile and wet.. so my right foot slipped. My right was up on the island sliding and my left was down on the ground up against the curb. As I fell forward with all my body weight, I was still kinda laughing at myself for eating shit… Then I heard the snap and felt my lower left leg go jelly and bend in a way that it had never bent before…
I knew before I hit the ground that my leg was broken….It was the leverage of my left leg planted up against the curb that made it snap over the edge of the curb. I hollered “I broke my leg” several times and laid down on the pump island with my broken leg hanging off the edge sideways for a minute. Justin was like “let me see” and when we pulled my sock back you could see the bone wanting to push through the skin.
I laid back and they called an ambulance. After a minute the pain got better and I started shaking from the cold and shock.. It was near freezing and I was laying on the cold concrete. Then I just shook my head and said “C’est la vie.” I laughed and started yodeling real fast.
It sucked. It hurt really bad. I was at the hospital at least 2 hours before they gave me anything or took me into surgery. They put a rod and 4 screws thru the center of my bone in my lower left leg. I already had one in my upper right as well as 8 screws in my left knee and a plate with 6 screws in my right arm and 3 screws in my right foot from my wreck in 2003.. So, yeah, fuck that shit.
Here I am doing the same shit I did 6 years ago. fuck it!

Scott H. Biram News Jan 2009

BIG EUROPEAN TOUR AND NEWS!!

ENGLAND, IRELAND, FRANCE, BELGIUM, HOLLAND, GERMANY, SWITZERLAND, SLOVENIA, CROATIA, ITALY

Hey everybody,
First off, I finished my new record! It took me about a year and a half.
With all the touring I’ve been doing in the last few years, it’s been hard to find the time to record. I just had to find time in the cracks between tours to do it. It’s done! The title will be “Something’s Wrong/Lost Forever” and will be available in the US hopefully right around June. It’s going to be mastered next week on Jan 19th. My old art professor and accomplished artist and graphic designer, Mark Todd, is currently working on the cover art. We’re trying to get all the little things worked out so I can turn it in just before I leave for this Euro tour. Some of the songs included on the album are
“Sinkin’ Down”, “Still Drunk, Still Crazy, Still Blue” and “Judgement Day”.
The Black Diamond Heavies appear on a cover of Muddy Waters’ “I Feel So Good” written by Big Bill Broonzy, and John Meyers of The Black Diamond Heavies appears on the SHB original “Hard Time”.

Anyway, I’m hittin’ the old Euro road again for the 9th time in 3 years starting on Jan 24th in old London town. I’ll be with my good buddy and sidekick US Justin, and we’ll be layin’ all the bullshit down for ya nice and smooth. Hope you can make it out. Come here some of the new sounds of Scott H. Biram!! Some more dates are to be added to this tour!

I’ll also be attending SXSW festival again in my home city of Austin, TX.
Keep an eye out for the dates on www.scottbiram.com and www.myspace.com/scotthbiram. You can also look at www.bloodshotrecords.com and www.billions.com.

We’re working on the art now and it is to be mastered on Jan 19th. I’ll turn the finished product in before I leave for Europe on the 22nd and hopefully it’s ready for release in late May/ early June before my West coast tour. The Record will be called
“Something’s Wrong/ Lost Forever” and includes 1 track with The Black Diamond Heavies and 1 track with John Meyers from the Black Diamond Heavies. You guys can get excited…I’m just glad the damn thing’s done!! wwwweeeeoooooo!! Hope you like it! Now to look towards the next one!!

Fall News 2008

Greetings People of Earth, I have been a mess for way too long and I think I’m comin’ out of it finally…
Like some crazy blues guy said awhile back “ I see the light!”
I think I’m on the outbound side of a pretty funky mental breakdown and I’m feelin’ quite a bit better. Thanks to all my friends, family and fans for puttin’ up with me as I rode a whiskey bent rollercoaster around for a good couple years and then, more recently, came off some medications which unfortunately the withdrawal symptoms included some pretty heavy passive aggressive lash outs. Anyway, I’m feeling better, and sorry for anybody that had to witness any craziness in the last few months…Just puttin’ a courtesy apology out there for all you true friends and family that didn’t deserve it. That said, I am not apologizing for everything. There were a few lash outs that were completely deserved. anyway. sorry again to my friends and family who weren’t deserving of the hell I raised..Enough said… On another note, I’ve been back on the songwriting train and have a good handful of new songs to try out on y’all when I head out this next month. I’m re-incorporating my old acoustic guitar into the set a bit for a few of the mellower songs. Haven’t really decided which songs for sure yet, but I’m sure you’ll find out if you show up to some of the performances. This is all if my old beat up guitar pick up can stand the travel.. I’ve also, as alot of you, know been working really hard on my new record.
I have 11 songs recorded and mostly finished with the mixing. But after a little thought and prayer while completely depressed in a hotel room in Europe…I’ve decided that, although I have enough songs for a record, I’m going to keep workin’ on recording a few more. I feel like the balance between the soft songs and the more boogied up rockin’ songs is not where I want it. Rather than put out a few good songs and a bunch of filler music to make a full record, I want to work more and give you guys a good solid one with a nice balance between the mellow stuff and the rockin’ stuff. So thanks for being patient. I promise you’ll like it when I’m done. Thanks to everyone who came out to the French and Swiss shows last week.I had a great time. I was at my Euro promoter, Jean Luc’s house in France with my friend’s the BellRays when Obama got elected. We watched the acceptance speech at 5:30am over there, and it was awesome! Like watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon the for the first time…It was a historical experience I’ll never forget. Congratulations to our soon to be President, Obama! There are alot of good things to come and I look forward to it. Once again “ I see the light!” I’ll be making my regular winter tour across the Southern US a little early this year. I was over that way back in February..But instead of waiting until winter I’ll be hitting it up in Nov/Dec this time. So y’all don’t have to wait too long. I’ll be playing one show in New Orleans with the Misfits which should be interesting, and another in Daytona Beach with T-Model Ford and Gravel Road.. Which should be equally if not more interesting but in a completely different sense. Anyway, looking forward to seeing you guys out there. Please try to come out and see me. I need the money! I’m completely broke. Come say hello to US Justin and Todd the sound guy and buy some shit!!
